ABOUT US

In 1994, Watoto Church started Watoto Childcare Ministries in response to the community’s pain and suffering as a result of HIV/AIDS, war and poverty, which had left many children as vulnerable orphans and women as widows and single mothers living with HIV/AIDs. Our mission is to raise responsible Christians and productive citizens in Uganda.

Since inception, we have cared for nearly 6,000 orphaned and vulnerable children, rescued babies and former child soldiers. Currently, we are caring for over 3,300 children in our three children’s villages.

WATOTO HOMES REFRESH CAMPAIGN

After three decades of providing holistic residential care, most supplies in our children’s homes have either run out or become old.

We need to restock the homes and make them enjoyable for our children to be raised as future leaders.

Through the Watoto Homes Refresh campaign, we want to raise funds for clothes, bedding and crockery for our Children in 385 homes.  It costs UGX 1.2M to refresh one home
