At Watoto Church, we value the dignity, privacy, and safety of every person. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and manage personal information, photographs, and video content across our services, events, ministries, and digital platforms. It aligns with the Uganda Data Protection & Privacy Act (2019).

- Sensitive information only where necessary for ministry care and support
We only collect information for lawful ministry and operational purposes.

- Improve church operations and ministry outreach
- Share church stories, worship moments, testimonies, and event coverage through livestreams, social media, websites, and promotional materials
We do not sell personal information and only share it with authorised service providers or ministry partners where necessary.
Photography & Video Recording
Photography and video recording may take place during church services and events. By attending, you consent to general crowd and atmosphere coverage for ministry and communication purposes.
Explicit Consent Required
Specific consent will always be obtained before:
- Close-up interviews or testimonies
- Featuring children or teenagers prominently
- Recording vulnerable individuals or beneficiaries
- Storytelling or fundraising content
Consent may be given through signed forms, digital submissions, verbal confirmation, or recorded video consent.
Protection of Children & Vulnerable Persons
Watoto Church takes extra care to protect children and vulnerable individuals:
- Parent or guardian consent is required for children
- Sensitive personal details will not be publicly shared without permission
- Content that shames, exploits, or endangers people is never permitted
- Participation in media activities is never required to receive ministry support
Restricted & No-Filming Areas
The following areas or situations must never be filmed or shared without permission:
- Counselling or deliverance sessions
- Personal prayer conversations
- Sensitive pastoral meetings
- Assistance distribution or vulnerable care situations
Data Security & Access
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. Data is stored securely and access is limited to authorised staff and ministry leaders. Church data must not be stored or shared through unofficial platforms or personal devices.
Your Rights
You may:
- Request access to your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for future media use
- Raise concerns or request removal of inappropriate content
