ICE BREAKER:
Is having children home for holiday an opportunity or a burden?

REFLECTION:
Every couple needs to hearken to a Biblical call to live with a sense of urgency that goes beyond urgency restricted to matters of money and business. When Apostle Paul wrote the letter to the church at Ephesus, he wanted them to view their world through ‘the urgency glasses’. He urged them to have this in mind as they made critical decisions in their lives and families.
Similarly, despite the stress and pressure we face on a daily as individuals and as couples, we need to discern the urgency with which we need to respond to the opportunities that the Lord places before us and secure maximum benefit. Could this moment of meeting as a couple’s cell be a God given opportunity to learn ways of maximizing every window of opportunity we have?

TEXT: Ephesians 5:15-20 NIV
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1. List opportunities in life that couples need to be looking out for.
2. What are those things in life that often hinder couples from seeing their God ordained opportunities?
3. How can couples maximize the opportunities available to them?
4. Take time to share and pray over your lives and families.
