MARRIEDS CELL GUIDE: FEBRUARY 2026
TOPIC: “For the Joy Anticipated…”
ICE BREAKER: What does the statement ‘I am not happy in my marriage!’ mean to a husband?
REFLECTION:
The month of March can rightfully be referred to as the month of Passion. Not the carnal passion but that of Christ in the quest to purchase the salvation of mankind. Jesus, for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despised the shame in His humiliating death, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. The joy that gave Him energy to press on was the vision He had: dwelling with His Father forever together with the people saved on account of His sacrifice. While the world emphasizes lustful passions as the source of happiness, the Bible teaches us that true joy in marriage is rooted in relentlessly pursuing the vision God has given us to honor Him in our marriages and live eternally with Him in glory. Are we pursuing this goal with joy in our hearts?
TEXT: Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God
