The School of Community Leadership exists to equip leaders to be ‘Change Agents in their Spheres of Influence, Communities and the Nation‘. It is a year-long ‘Transformational Leadership‘ Program; which is highly interactive, convenient, and effective, facilitating leadership growth in the areas highlighted below:

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The School of Community Leadership (SCL) is Watoto Church's leadership development program. It was established by Pastor Gary Skinner (founder of Watoto Church Ministries) and the Watoto Church Pastoral Team to respond to the current leadership crisis in Uganda which is hinged mostly on survival as opposed to service.

The School of Community Leadership program primarily targets professionals in various fields or spheres of influence. It is a year-long transformational leadership program that is highly interactive, convenient, and an effective learning platform, facilitating leadership growth.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

To foster the development of grounded and ethical servant leaders with a biblical worldview.

To cultivate a culture of holistic mentorship and harness its power for intentional leadership growth.

To provide a platform for skills and knowledge acquisition that facilitate intentional collaboration for the transformation of different spheres of influence.

To instill an entrepreneurial mindset and harness the culture of creating kingdom businesses addressing today societal challenges.

To foster ethical decision-making and guide the participants in developing a moral compass for leadership.

To develop agile and competent leaders that will thrive in leading growth and transformation of organisations and communities.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Full year program with In-person classes held monthly.

Program fees: UGX 300,000/= per Module & UGX 50,000/= registration fees.

Interactive style of teaching and collaborative learning model.

DESIRED OUTCOMES

Participants will apply biblical principles to leadership, exhibiting ethical decision-making, humility, and a servant-oriented approach in their spheres of influence.

Participants will actively engage in mentorship, demonstrating growth in self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities for holistic development.

Participants will acquire skills for effective collaboration and leading transformative projects within their spheres of influence.

Participants will develop an entrepreneurial mindset, showcasing creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking in identifying and addressing societal challenges to establish purpose-driven kingdom businesses.

Participants will cultivate a strong moral compass, making decisions, upholding integrity, and aligning actions with biblical values in leadership roles.

Participants will acquire skills for agile leadership, navigating dynamic organisational environments, fostering innovation, and leading initiatives that contribute to organisational and community growth and transformation.
