MARRIEDS CELL GUIDE: APRIL 2025

TOPIC: JESUS PAID IT ALL

ICE BREAKER:
What do you look out for the most: Good Friday or Easter Sunday?

REFLECTION:
“He Paid it All”
“Tetelestai” is the word used to describe what Jesus did for us on the cross. It means ‘paid for in full’.  This was the price that was needed to purchase our salvation. The currency used was not perishable or corruptible earthly things. It was His blood poured out for us the undeserving to receive what we could never earn. Hallelujah, God our Father accepted the sacrifice and we can now live in harmony with God and one another. His death on the Cross was His way of modeling love for us. So as married couples, we have this calling to live together in harmony because the cross Indicates the end of every form of hostility, accusations, divisions and the  opening of abundant blessings from God. And God chose marriage to be a place for couples to experience the fullness of this life transforming love.

Let’s discuss ways we can pay the full price that enables us to enjoy strong healthy and happy families.

TEXTS: Ephesians 5:25-28
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself“.

DISCUSSION:

  1. What challenges do couples face in the quest to love like Christ loved the church?
  2. Share ways in which salvation helps couples to pay the price to experience true love in marriage?
  3. Take time to pray for His resurrection power to revive strength, health and happiness in our marriages.
