Family Cell Gathering in a home

MARRIEDS CELL GUIDE: APRIL 2026

TOPIC: MARRIAGE IN THE LIGHT OF JESUS’ RESURRECTION

ICE BREAKER:
What song over the Easter weekend ministered to you the most?

REFLECTION:
The life, death & resurrection of Jesus ought to have eternal impact on our lives as individuals, as a couple and as a family. Yet it can easily pass for a mere religious observation or a good break from our daily hustles.

However, we can learn something valuable from the apostle Paul. Despite his original religious settings, he found new meaning and purpose in life when he encountered the risen Jesus.

Because we know Jesus, can we allow the light of His resurrection shine on our relationships as couples.

TEXT: Philippians 3:10-14 NIV
“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

DISCUSSION:
1. What would you say were the aspirations of Apostle Paul?
2. In what ways would adopting Paul’s aspirations impact our lives as couples?
3. What practical changes should we make to experience the resurrected life in our marriages?
4. Take time to share and prayer with one another to experience the resurrected king in your life?
