MARRIEDS CELL GUIDE: DECEMBER 2025
TOPIC: FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS
ICE BREAKER: Which of the following would you choose as your favourite Christmas dish – African, English, Indian, Italian, Chinese?
REFLECTION:
Whereas the birth of Christ is celebrated every year at the same time of the year, it’s possible for us to lose the meaning and purpose of the season in the noise and busyness of ending the year and other things. Whereas it’s a great opportunity to bond as family members and catch up with friends, it can be a season of stress as we get caught up in things that cloud our vision of Jesus, whose birth was intended to revolutionize everything about our lives. We don’t want to be counted among those who lose our way in this special season.
TEXT: Isaiah 9:6-7 NIV
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.”
